The flag you saw on the first image is the flag that flies over the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. If you look closely at the flag you will see a smaller "flap" of a flag. That smaller flag is the flag that was presented to me in my shadow box at my retirement ceremony on April 19, 2001 at Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport, Washington. Additionally, this flag was flown over several other notable locations throughout our great country.

  • The USS Constitution homeported in Boston, MA.

  • The USS Chief (MCM-14) homeported in Ingleside, TX

  • The Capitol in Washington, D.C.

  • The Washington State Capitol in Olympia, WA

  • The Florida State Capitol in Tallahassee, FL

  • The Texas State Capitol in Austin, TX

The shadow box now hangs proudly in my home in Tavares, FL.
